How to Install Android 2.2 Froyo on your Droid X!

For those of you who want to install Android 2.2 Froyo on your Droid X, now you can thanks to all the devs. (and thanks Paul for the tip!)

First, you will need a rooted Droid X.

If you have already rooted your Droid X, follow step B here.

(Optional) If you want to backup your current Droid X before installing 2.2 so you can always go back, you can install Droid X Recovery: (thanks to Koush!)

Download Droid X Recovery here

*Run the Droid X Recovery to backup your current state before applying the update.zip file!

Then apply the update.zip file, which can also be found here:

    Anyone know what the size of the update.zip file for the Droid X 2.2 is? I have followed the links given and I am getting different files. Any help?
